Paint Defect on '08 TL

I have had this car 2 months. I have noticed the paint on my trunk, on the bottom is very gritty. Is this normal? It becomes discolored when light hits it. Is this defective paint or Acura's way of making the bottom grip friendly? If you run your hand over the paint it makes a scratching sound and is not smooth like the paint above. During the day I do not notice it, but at night it looks like condensation in the headlights of another car.

I don't think mine has this issue. Doesn't sound right to me.

Overspray?

Sounds like it may be overspray. Maybe when it was on the dealer lot it was close to the bodyshop. Try clay bar on it. They sell it at just about any auto parts store. Just make sure the car is clean when you use it .

That doesn't seem right, I do what Robo1098 pick up clay bar kit, and see if that helps if not, bring it back to the dealer and have take a look at it.
