rear seat's back rest flip down?

How does the rear seat's back rest flip down? If its unable to flip down, How does it come off? Where are the bolts located and if it has clips, where?

I think they just pull out from the top. You may have to hold a button in but I think that's you you need to do.

you know where may i find this "A button"? lol. i wasnt able to find any button around there anywhere, im thinking it may be like the old old 4th gen preludes, you unbolt one 10mm bolt and you slide it up and then it would come off. this may have two 10mm bolts but dont know where, someone plz HEEEEELPPP!!

The seats in these TL's don't "flip down". You can "remove" the rear seats (for things like suspension upgrade work). Is THAT what your trying to do? Search on "Reat seat removal"

I thought he was talking about the rear headrests, not seats.

The TL does not have folding rear seats, like the Accord. A MAJOR design flaw IMO.

Maybe I mis-understood. If he is talking about the HEADREST themselves and not the seat backs, then it IS a plastic button on the top of the seat (where the head rest bars slide into the seat) that has a 1/2" plastic "button" that you simply push in and lift the head restraints out of the seat backs. These "button" are on the right-hand side of that base if you are facing the rear of the vehicle. They also have "ridges" whereas the rest of the base is smooth so they should be pretty easy to identify.

Dont have time for pics right now but here's the crash course:

total of 6 bolts need to be removed. Bottom cushion comes out first. There are two clips underneath the front of the rear cushion. Reach your fingers up, pull the clip toward the front of the car while pushing down on the cushion. This will release the front of the bottom cushion. To release the rear of the bottom cushion, dig between the top and bottom cushions, more towards the passenger side. There's a 10mm bolt that needs to be removed. The bottom will come right out after you remove that bolt.

The top cushion then has 5 more bolts to release. Lift up each headrest, there's a pocket that you can get a socket into, 10mm. Remove both of those. Then there are 3 10mm bolts on the bottom ( One is located drivers side middle) The other two are on each end at the bottom, between the edge of the seat and the rear door threshold trim panel. It's not too bad when you know what to look for. Careful removing the seat. There are metal brackets that can do damage when you're pulling it out. Have fun! JP
