I loved the sticky tinting thread ...but never saw anyone address the laws. ...maybe I missed it but...here is a link with fairly recent state allowances on tinting.

I've never hear this. Since I was a kid it has been 35% on the fronts, and asdark as you want in the rear and sides. Hmmm. I have always ran 20% and never had an issue.
