i prefer Valvoline Full Synth, but walmart has 5qt jug of mobil1 cheaper than Valvoline right now..... but i still bought the Valvoline.

bitog doesnt seem to have any big complaints for any of the name brand full synths. i think any of them will take modern day vehicles to the day they die due to other issues, etc.

Whom it may concern Acura suggested oil change is 7000 mi or 1 year using Acura Syn Blend. Every car has it's oil, it is based on how often you change it and how you drive the vehicle. -Mr. Obvious

Synthetic, 3-4k, Mobil Supersyn
Syn Blend 4-5k, Acura or Castrol Syntec
Fully Syn 5k+, Mobil 1
Fully Syn Racing 3-4k, Royal Purple HPS for tuned motors only.

I have heard of some good Japanese oil brands, but never really wished to test them. All Acura/Honda are suggested with mobile products.

My understanding is that the syn oils resist coking much better than the standard oils do. I like the friction reduction, and keeping the oil passages open can be important.

I think you are looking for less thinning and sheering, because that is the major difference between types of oil
