We have the forums and the Private Message features, and those are pretty solid communication tools.
We also have a number of us that have shared our IM identities and spend a lot of time using those as well. If I remember right, we had a thread in the VIP lounge where we shared those out with each other. This is a pretty tight community and have all made some pretty strong online friendships here.
