If I say " ", is that bashing the other political party?

If I were to say that I disagree w/ the Iraq war and that Bush/Cheney have misled the US military, is that considered an attack on Bush/Cheney?

I believe if you say that "I believe that Bush/Cheney have misled the country" that should be ok, as long as you don't say Bush is an ^%$^%$^.

Which has more debate rules, AW or the Presidential debates?

But, if the sole purpose was to bash a party/politician, then...

Only purpose of the thread is to see where the line is and which side is safe.

I think Acl.com has a good solution to this issue.

I noticed that the policy's purpose was to promote civil political debates. However, it killed policital threads altogether. Sad things to say about us, we can't keep a debate civil.

Have a sub-forum where its all allowed.

During this time in the world (election time), I don't think its proper to shut down talking of political parties. Who cares if someone says something about Kerry/Bush, no one's pussy is going to hurt the next day.

To expend on what BK said, perhaps that subforum could be a hidden, invite only political forum.

Didn't you say something about consolidating forums, and just proposed to open a new one?

Its a 'temp' forum (until Dec. 2004 or so). Also, since the Lounge gets the most members in here and political threads usually got the most interest here in the past...makes for a great addition.

I copied this here, just to have it in the proper spot. I also kept it in the Lounge so it would get more discussion.
