i dunno how this would work but could there be a restriction to new users to prevent spammers from posting. must have like 5 posts before starting a new thread?

then they'll just spam the regular threads, which has happened before.
1 or 2 spammers a month is not too bad. we all get to have some fun "yelling" at them anyway

The new version of VB that we're going to upgrade to as soon as some of our extensions are updated should help with the automated spammers. It's got a new image creation system that is supposed to fool the automated spammers.
