Threads already read showing up as new - Acura Forum

Ok I don't know if it's just me having this problem but every time I read a thread it goes from bold to regular until I go offline. When I come back online I don't have sign in to AW but every thread that has a post for "today" shows up as bold even if I already read it and there is no new post since then. It's really starting to piss me off b/c I'm getting too drunk to remember what I already read and don't have enough patience to look at the time of the last post. Is it my computer or the site?

Everything works like it should until I close my browser. Then when I get back on the web, stuff I've already read, that doesn't have a new post, is showing up as new.

you have to allow a certain amount of time for it to clear what youve already seen. if you look at a post, close the page, and then re-open it immediately, its gonna show up as new.

Last night I was reading threads for about an hour and a half before I closed the browser. I had about 13 to 15 threads showing up as new that didn't have any new posts since the last time I read them. This has only been going on for a couple of days but its getting annoying as hell.

change internet browser settings to accept more cookies...this should solve the problem

I never have this problem, I clear my I.E. cache everyday, try clearing your cache, deleting your cookies, clearing your history and signing back into AW.

I did that this morning and nothing was showing up as new, and after I stayed on for a while, I have the same prob.

First off, please post forum problems in the site suggestions / problems forum.

Second - what operating system, browser version (be specific! Go to help, about), etc are you using?

System is windows xp home version
Browser is microsoft internet explorer 6.0.????????

I made a change to the way new posts are stored. Go to quick links, mark all forums read. That should fix it from here on out.
