What About Sub Forums?

how about making some sub forums like this:


notice the main heading is not clickable (it becomes the "general" forum).

i find myself getting lost in the Gallery forum looking for pics of 3G TL, or i cannot easily find 3G related items for suspension in the "Wheels, Tires, Brakes, & Suspension" forum.

breakdown like this:
General - buying, gripes, specs, etc
Chassis - wheels, tires, shocks, springs, camber kits, etc
Sound - handsfree features, dvd-a, navi, etc
Gallery - model specific pics of car (including new wheels, body kits), etc

wow...that would be a pain in the A$$ to navigate...its not like the forums over overflowing with topics that one day doesn't fit on one page of forum listings....just my $.02

We already have different forums with those types of information. It's not something people look at all the time. And if they do, the search function has never lead me wrong usually.

Beside, I hate for us to start looking like Acurazine.

yes, i know they are there, i was suggesting breaking it down within generations.

looking like az is a matter of colors, layout, and navigation (az naviation has some flaws in it). being organized is what every website needs to be (why do you think Yahoo has been about the same for years now? it's because Yahoo has good layout, good navigation, good colors, and minimal clicks to get at the desired content).

exactly..., perhaps some better organizing will get more people to "look".

with the navigation sample i provided, i could with one click jump into a category which i'm interested in. currently, when i jump into the Gallery i am forced to use Search, but even doing a Search may require multiple searches, and that may not even show what i'm after. at that point i'm done and no longer wish to click around anymore. if i could jump into a sub that had only pics of 3G TL's then at least if i cannot find what i'm after i have plenty of other "3G only" pics to look at....
