91 Acura Integra Cooling fan comes on when vehicle is cold
I wanted to see if anyone out there has had this problem. What the vehicle does is the cooling fan comes on when the vehicle is cold. I have already changed the fan relay, coolant tempature sensor. In addition, the vehicle is not equppied with a sensor for the radiator. What could it be? I have changed the radiator in this vehicle. My big problem is that the fan keeps coming on when the vehicle hasn't even be driven incl. when it is cold. Any help or suugestions would be greatly appriciated.

Don't worry about it, mine does that too. Freaked me out the first time I walked by my car ant it started up, but it's not hurting anything unless it never shuts off.

My radiator fan comes on after I have driven short distance that wasn't enough to warm the coolant. However I can shut it off, if I turn key to on and then off. I have not had the battery drain to the point where it won't start so it must be shutting off shortly after it turns on.

thats normal, just means the car is hot.. The fans have the ability to turn on when the car is off... the ECT-Switch circuit is closed.. means your car is running a little hot.
Also make sure its not the condensor fan, it has a failsafe kick in for when the oil gets too hot... if that comes on after you turn the car off that means you have a over heating issue.

Fan runs for no reason
I saw your post awhile back about your condenser fan running in phantom mode. I have the same problem now. I noticed a few folks offered to help you but were likely mistaken about what was wrong as I suspect it is a timer control or the fan control unit. Did you ever get it figured out and if so, what did it turn out to be? I am having trouble with it running all the time on and off thus running the battery low or dead if I don't drive it for a couple weeks. I could sure use some tips from somebody that has been there and hopefully got it fixed. Doe
