93 GSR: Kocking and Hesitation
1993 Integra GS-R:
I was driving back from Philly to DC yesterday and heard a knocking/tapping coming from the rear/top of the engine -- possibly the injectors. When accelerating hard the car would hesitate pretty significantly. Wanting to get home, I set the cruise control and accelerated like a mouse. So I get home and open the hood and the noise was gone! Took it for a test drive, and no more hesitation. Any ideas? I had just added a bottle of gas treatment to the tank -- think that might have knocked something loose that fouled the injectors or spark? Seems unlikely, but I can't think of anything else. |

So now when you accelerate at WOT, it doesn't hesitate like it used to?
I would imagine it hesitating pretty bad now that you've put the gas treatment since all that crap in the fuel tank is now flowing through the engine. "If it an't broke, don't fix it."
