93 GSR: Kocking and Hesitation - Acura Forum

1993 Integra GS-R:

I was driving back from Philly to DC yesterday and heard a knocking/tapping coming from the rear/top of the engine -- possibly the injectors. When accelerating hard the car would hesitate pretty significantly. Wanting to get home, I set the cruise control and accelerated like a mouse.

So I get home and open the hood and the noise was gone! Took it for a test drive, and no more hesitation.

Any ideas? I had just added a bottle of gas treatment to the tank -- think that might have knocked something loose that fouled the injectors or spark? Seems unlikely, but I can't think of anything else.

So now when you accelerate at WOT, it doesn't hesitate like it used to?

I would imagine it hesitating pretty bad now that you've put the gas treatment since all that crap in the fuel tank is now flowing through the engine.

could have been a injector getting plugged. if it acts up again let us know
