94 Integra GSR AC Compressor Fuse Blowing

For the past five years, I have not used my AC because I thought the compressor went out. Last weekend I bought all the parts with the intent to replace the system. Before I started, I noticed the AC compressor fuse had blown out. I replaced it and turned on the AC only to have the fuse blow out again. I then checked the compression in the AC compressor and noticed it was high. I extracted some of the refrigerant to the proper level. I replaced the fuse and it worked for five days until it blew the fuse again. Do I have an electrical problem or is the compressor on its last limbs? Or is there another explanation? Thanks.

Sounds like a short in your system. BTW one post will suffice, how do people end up double posting? i know every time i make the mistake of double posting it automatically catches it and prohibits me from double posting...

sounds like you have a wiring issue, i'm sure the compressor is fine.. you need to track down the wiring cause of that fuse blowing.. check the grounding first and then for breaks in the line.
