backfire at high revs??????
ok well on my brothers car when he revs his engine to around 4000-5000 RPMs it will backfire. ive replaced the dizzy, plugs & wires, messed with timeing cuz someone said it was that, well i found out the intake manifold was sucking in air inbetween where it bolts onto the head so i fixed that and it still does it!!! i have no idea what else it could be other than a bad cam shaft....if anyone could help me with this prob. it would be great!!!

and i assume your brothers car is an Integra? What trim level? Sounds like its running rich. Any modifications?

yea well on his car we were told it was the dizzy but we got new and still does it so we did the timing and the intake manifold was suckin air so we got new gasket and still does it so only other thing i can think it being is the cam shaft might be bad
his car isnt a teg tho i didnt mean to post this here lol his car is a civic hatch with a D15 and a D16 head so we gonna replace the head and see if it works |

is it a full exhaust? Cause when I had my massive exhaust leak on my teg it would backfire a lot.

yeah its got full exhaust and just recently it started to sound like its got a leak now but it started to do the backfire thing be4 the leak started
and 2 answer ur be4 question about mods yeah its got some mods it has port n polished head, stage 2 racing pistons, racing chip, passwordjdm ECU, stage 2 clutch, and fuel injector conversion |
