clutches...yes i searched
I'm not too transmission savvy and i no longer have a lift at home so i'm buying a clutch and having a shop put it in.
MY question is... Noticing that there are an overwhelming amount of stage 1 clutches compared to simple replacement OE ones and not to mention the S1 clutches are prices far cheaper overall, will the S1 clutch be an appropriate replacement for an OE with no performance applications? I'm willing to go to the S1 to save money if it's not going to be too much clutch for my little ls motor.... thanks

it really depends on the brand of clutch. get something quality. but a stg 1 clutch should be fine. i had a stg 2 in my old bolt on ls and it was a little stiff, and not that much fun to drive around in town, but a stg 1 should be a little nicer. just dont get a puck style.

Exedy OEM replacement clutches are great clutches and they are rated very (and when I say very, I mean I've used them on turbo'ed street B18 with no issues) consirvitively. They're cheap to come by (around $150ish with disk, PP, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool). Take a look into them
