anyone know if my 95 takes the old R12 or the R134? i gotta get this recharged before the end of summer.

Car 2: 2005 Honda Pilot EXL
Car 3: 94 Integra LS
Anything from at least 94 on takes 134a.

Best way to tell is if the service connections are snap on or screw on. The newer refrigerant has the snap on variety.

Car 2: 90 integra LS
the only thing you can buy is the conversion kit to r34 from r 12..they banned r12 for the ozone....

Not true. R12 can still be purchased, but you have to have a license and a licensed and approved recovery system to service R12 air conditioning systems.

I have the license and the tools, but there is really no point in it since R12 can only be bought in 30 lb cans, and is very, very expensive. The last can I bought in 01 was @ $1200. The conversions to R134a are much cheaper than an R12 recharge. However, converting to this refrigerant is not easy. The only things that don't get replaced with upgraded parts are the condenser, the evaporator, and sometimes the pump.

The more I think of it, since my kid's 94 LS has 134a, the more I am convinced that the OP's 95 is the same.

sweet, thanks guys, hopefully i can find a recharge kit to do it all myself, ive been reading up on it, doesnt seem too difficult.
