Got my $600 Stimulus check!!

Just noticed just now I have it...anyone get theres yet?

Man oh man. What to get.

I need suspension.
I need 2 tires.
I need a Intake.
Tinted windows would be nice.
Intake manifold would be nice.

If you had an extra 600 what would you go for?

Well I wouldn't get 2 tires. I would get 4. You should always replace your tires in a set.

Intake would be a nice simple thing to add and you will have enough money to get the tinting done as well. both should be in the 150$ range leaving you with about half left over and you could apply that to you suspension. Intake manifold is a waste of money in my opinion.

I have 2 new tires already so just getting the other 2...then will put them on. Well ordered my skunk2 coilovers and the tires so far.

I think I need an intake. The AEM V2 is what I want. I found it for $288 so far. I may actually have my car on the road next week.

Nice rims...

Intake manifold is a waste because the car can only take some much air and mix it with so much fuel. This fuel to air mixture is predetermined by the ECU. So an intake helps breathe the engine and produce horsepower, but an intake manifold doesn't do any good unless you have SC or TC. So you're going to spend a lot of money on a intake manifold for N/A car but not recieve any benefits over what a CAI can provide.

Ok then. What is something, engine wise besides CAI that would be good for horsepower or speed?

There are so many things out there like throttle bodies, intake manifolds, electronics, etc. I guess looking to get more horsies...more bang for my buck. I am not sure what items I should go for next.

Thanks been reading some things on cam gears and seem like a good idea. The procedure for install seems pretty intensive. I think I will pick up some new gears sometime soon and try to put them in.

I have to learn more about the tuning of them and such...

If your going to buy cam gears, don't forget to buy the camshaft as well, your not get much hp out of them without the camshaft.

I heard that the AEM V2 intake is more like a short ram then a CAI, but I'm not sure if that true.

How much HP are you wanting to push out of your engine?

N/A is a waste of money, go with BOOST. Thats more bang for the buck
