Hey new to AW & Having problems with my teg =[ Can anyone help please?
Hey everyone, my name is Corinna, I have a 95 GS-R. I just got new rotors and brake pads put on the front about 2 weeks ago. Twice since then I have smelled a burning rubber smell when i get out of my car. My car is lowered with coilovers but right now it is not lowered, its about at stock height. So I dont think it's the tires rubbing. I dont see any debree that would come from the tire either. Also, in between the two times this has happened...the other morning when i woke up to go to work my clutch went right to the floor,
there was no pressure whatsoever, so when i got home i checked the clutch fluid and it wasnt empty or low but i put more in it anyway and pumped the pedal and the pressure came back instantly. But im just hoping that smell isnt the clutch burning up or anything..that incident just scared me. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this smell or why my pressure would all the sudden be gone from my clutch overnight. Its just really stressing me out and making me upset i love my teggy! I just want it to be okay. |

well i would drain your fluid (might be an air bubble) put some new higher grade fluid in it.
if that don't work then i would suggest u have your master cylinder and the slave cylinder replaced and that should cure your problem. |

alright well just bleed your lines and put some new fluid in it cause it could just simply be an air bubble somewhere but if it don't work im about 99.9% sure master cylinder and slave cylinder would fix it
EDIT: i kinda spaced this out but it could also your pressure plate or throwout bearing. Last edited by 92integ : 08-18-08 at 05:10 PM. |

![]() its not to hard to replace, u do have to unbolt the tranny and the throwout bearing is right there where the clutch is...its always good to replace ur throwout bearing when replacing ur clutch so u dont run into problems like these |
