Car 1: 2000 Integra GS |
Just bought a 2000 Integra. Need Suggestions PICS INCLUDED
What is the best and cheapest way to fix the body damage, and the upholstery damage? I want it to look like it did in 2000.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a burnhole in the fabric on the drivers' side panel. I don't think the panel separates from the door. ![]() ![]() This is the back seat. Aint it disgusting? ![]() This is where my dad scraped up against the neighbors' building. Both the bumper, which is plastic, and the side, which is metal are scratched pretty much to the underlying materials. ![]() Any advice would be great. People have mentioned junkyards to replace the parts, but if I can repair them somehow for cheap that would work too. |

For the exterior. Take it to a repetable shop and have they try to buff that out or repaint. If you want it to match perfectly you'll need to repaint the whole car.
For the interrior you can remove the fabric on the doors and refabric it. I would try to see if you can get a door panel from a junkyard car. You might luck out and just swap panels. For the seat you'll have to take the seat cover off and replace it. Which is a pain. A tip, however, if you put it inside out and then try to put it on, it is easier. Look for a junkyard car for a seat too is another option.

If you want cheap, do it yourself.
it might not be done perfectly, but at least youll know what to expect than if you brought it somewhere that'll do it cheap. Exterior- Rubber hammer or dentless removal shop Interior- if you find another seat/ seats that look good. get the replaced. the problem is that the fading of the seats might look off. if you wana pay someone, an upholstry shop might take it off and put it back on for you, just offer cash. the problem is going to be getting the cover off of the seat that you want to re-use. most upholstry shops just cut off the old and put in the new. maybe just see about getting aftermarket upholstry put in.. leather might run you about $2k? not cheap, but itll look brand new. sorry, tend to ramble.
