First, my car just died last wednesday. Check engine light turned on out of no where and wouldn't run for shit. I got it towed to my buddys shop and he said it was the ECU. EVerything was going crazy, barely would read the diagnostic test, ect... I bought a brand new ECU $700!! I had to get it towed to a acura dealer to get the key flashed so it would be read by the ECU. I'm now being told its not the ecu.. I'm fu^^* bullshit! Anyone ever had there car die out of no where?????? HELPPPP

Wow, $700 bucks, that almost forged pistons and rods!

Did they pull the codes? Maybe you ran out of gas?

There are a billion things that could've caused your engine to cut out? what have you eliminated?

Details details.

ok listen... No I did not get screwed because its BRAND NEW! used ecu's can be junk. You can't go to a local parts store and buy one.It was a dealer only part. TWO! I didn't run out of gas! two codes came up: cylinder position sensor and ECU. Replaced ecu and cylinder pos. sen. was fine after dealer tested it. My friend who is a master tech at a honda dealership check sensor after sensor and nothing worked. This is becoming frustrating and way to f*cking long. He said its gotta be a ground somewhere shorting out or something. Yes its getting gas and yes its getting spark. It runs but for like 5 secs and dies and sounds like ass. Thats the f*cking problem. Its getting everything!

AHHH I cant figure this out!

Either that or go down to a junkyard. Bought mine for $50 and was guaranteed to work or you get a full refund with 90 days.

Yep, used ecu's can be junk but they usually don't go bad and i'd never pay anything over $200 for one.

You can buy a socketed and chipped ecu for tunning for $180 (Xenocron.com). Guaranteed to work.

Aside from that, like stated above: compression test.

How's the timing?

Sounds like Ass: sputtering? ticking? klanking? As you rev the noise gets loudeR?

If it's a wire shortage somewhere, good luck with that.
