New to the scene

So..

I got a 94 integra rs with 140xxx miles. Clean title. Had some theft. Runs like a champ. Sounds amazing. Can't list off all the parts on it.. but so far looks like: aftermarket pulleys, perhaps headers, ignition system, plug wires, springs n struts, rims. Its sitting low. Real nice. needs a new fender or at least some work on it. A new battery and a quick fix for the ignition. Speakers were stripped out and so was the radio. I got fed up with my DSM and I ran into this. So I guess I am joining the JDM scene I gotta wash her up real good tomorrow and take some pictures...

A steal for $1600!!!

i'd check for camber wear on the tires as many owner don't properly lower their ride.

Pics pics pics.

Here are the pictures. I also have some questions. I was not able to clean it today because I did not have the right supplies. I will go buy the stuff after work and make her look nice and shiny

Engine bay needs a little clean up. Its been sitting around for awhile. Also... I need to buy it a filter. I borrowed one from my car to start it up yesterday. It also needs a oil change. I will get the fender fixed as well and put hood pins on the car.

Now with the questions..

How should i go about fixing that? Those are the ignition wires. They fall out pretty easily and the car will not start or shut off if its not pushed in well.

And... last thing.... What is this?

That sucks that someone did that to that car.

I would go to a junkyard and salvage what you can out of a wrecked car for the interior. Get a new steering column and console. Its too expense to buy that stuff new from the dealership. You have some series damage to those ignition parts, no way saving it either.

The picture on the bottom is an old piece o' crap Air/Fuel mixture controler. In the old days and people on ebay think that if you change the air fuel mixture you can tune the car. Well those things are crap and don't work. It adjust the signal going to the ECU and overrides the sensors. Remove it...

Looks like you got an aftermarket ignition system, rims, intake... not bad.

Cool find man, with a little elbow grease that'll look sharp!

And to answer your question on camber wear, look at the wear on the tires. If the inside (or outside) looks more worn than the rest of the tire (i.e. if the tire wear isn't even), then the lowering job has probably messed up your camber and you'll have to get a camber kit. Most guys that do a crappy job lowering their cars wind up with excessive wear on the inside of the tire, so check for that first.

Acctually your wrong on that last piece. Those are one of those stupid hyper-flasher mods that were popular int he late 90's/early 2000's. Just rip that shit out.

Well I actually fixed the ignition on the car. I put the screws back in and its fine. I will go get the covers for it off at a junk yard or something. But I mean... regarding the stereo... What the hell should I do? In the above interior pic, is that huge bundle of wires the radio connection? Its a pretty large rectangular shaped. I need a wire harness to attach my Sony radio?

Also I was wondering the validity of these HID kits. How they work.. if they are worth it. I would appreciate if anyone knows anything. Because I was thinking of getting a kit for my car. :lasmaGarage.com:: HID Kits, Integra HID install

Plasma garage sales rebased HID meaning they use D2S bulbs, which is a good "well" that's if they use philips bulbs, vs cheap bulbs that would only last a year.

when I say they might only last a year, I meant the brightness of the bulbs might not be, as bright as they once were, a other problem I see with the PlasmaGarage HID is the ballast they might not last to long.

Here is two places I would buy from
1. Look up integra9006hid on Ebay, he sales rebased HID with philips bulbs and Denso ballast, he also sales them here HIDEXPERT.

2. HID Kits | HID conversion Kits | Xenon Light Kit| Projector Halo Headlamp | LED Tail Lights | Xenon Bulbs and ballasts

IMO stay with 4300k for the whitest light and 6000k is white with a hint of blue.

FYI: The higher the K "kelvin" means the light will go from blue to even purple, so remember that before you order your HID

You could find a fender at your local junk yard, eBay, craighst, you could also buy aftermarket fender, just don't get the Z3, the fitments might not be perfect.
Just give your car a nice wash, clay bar, and wax it should look 10 times better.

Thanks for all the info teg_guy. I think I will probably get a kit from hidxpert once I get some cash flow. Either 4.3 or 6k.

Anyways... I am on the lookout for a fender. Craigslist and local pick n pull. I have one question.

Since my radio stuff is gone.. I will have to get a dash kit correct?

Is this my wiring harness for my radio?

Thank you for all the support. I bought an adapter and a dash kit for my car and will be installing it tomorrow. I really appreciate all the support.

I washed my car again but it does seem like the stains that are on the paint want to come off. I tried bug wash and also using clay bar. But the stuff refuses to come out. I am not really sure of what else to do besides the possibility of getting a new paint job.

Tires seem to be in excellent condition. Camber seems to be ok. I forgot to post that.

You may have to hit it with something a bit harder. Try polish (a real polish) on a nice DA buffer with a correcting pad. If that doesn't do it, you're in for a repaint.

To get stains out and oxidation you need to use a rubbing compound I personally like Meguire's ColorX or for annoying scratches the ScratchX.

You can probably get most out by yourself but if you can't you'll have to invest in a high powered orbital buffer. Don't waste your time on Wal-Mart ones they are high powered enough.
