it's a cali thing, and really only the parts that have big street racing problems, I've never had to pop my hood, but if an engine mod doesn't have a carb number they can impound your car.

Most of the time they won't impound your car, I got pulled over for my exhaust, I had to open my hood, and the cop saw my cam gears, as you you know cam gears doesn't come with a carb sticker, so I had to go to the state ref.

Most of my breathing ups are in. I will take pics tonight and post pics of installation over the week. I put in half of my CAI (sort of a WAI) heheh, and it sounds great, after 2 days the check engine light came on, so I am not sure if I should disconnect my battery and let the computer recalibrate, or if i should reset the engine light with that button under the wheel, I had a bad catalytic converter awhile ago but never changed it and after awhile the check engine light went off and I luckily passed smog, haha. So I think the added air my car is getting now maybe pushed my crappy catalytic converter over the edge. not sure tho, I need a jedi masters insight on this one.
stay tuned for pics yall

hey wendy I have a universal 2.5" High flow magnaflow cat, you'd have to get the ends welded on, and an O2 bung if you have a OBDII car, and then install it yourself, ca shops have to provide a warranty for cats they installed and won't install one purchased elsewhere. looking to let it go for a reasonable price $50-75. of course I may be installing it on my car, haven't decided, but if I do, right now I have a new OEM cat that was just installed in jan, that I'd be selling off, for a lot more, but less than new.

This Saturday I am driving back home to go visit the parents and my pops(an amateur mechanic) said he would help me install the headers/exhaust, so stay tuned for pics from that!
also- are cam sprockets/gears hard to install? Im sure they are hard but like on a hardness scale from 1-10? is that something that would need a professional install?

they are not extremely hard, they do require some special tools since you will have to remove the crankcase pulley and timing belt, while you are in there you might as well change the belt and water pump if it wasn't done at 90k.
