Its the only way for them to force the backdating issue. Its really for emissions reasons (obdII to obdI and the like) but that would be a huge pain in the ass to do the research on every swap that didn't fit in exactly. You can get away with swapping a 94 or 95 engine into just about anything because (at least for B18C1's) they didn't come with vin numbers stamped on the block or head.

So.... 94-95 GSRs don't have vin #s on the block or head.... What about 96-00? Do you know by any chance Coldfire?
