question newbie here

hi all i have a integra with a gsr motor. what does that mean? it is also a special edition what is that? sorry if i sound dumb.

ok so on to my problem. the tps sensor and distributer (was a customers car) were changed before it got to me. it is still throwing a tps sensor code. what is the voltage supposed to be set at for idle and full throttle?

it feels normal when crusing except it serges. when you stomp the peddle it does not accelerate faster than 1/3 throttle like it has a huge dead spot.
when i advance the timing it feels better but i run out of timing. im also almost sure it is not a fuel system it has to be timing. and the vtec is working.
could it be the map sensor to?? distributer 180 out? (i did not install). thanks

Welcome to AW..And you have an LS SE with a b18c (GSR) swapped from the previous b18b1 LS motor which is non-vtec. So you went from 142 hp to 180hp or some say 178 and 1lb or so of torque more....I'm not certain on that.

Your GS-R (b18c) motor has v-tec, which allows for variable fuel/air ratios according to your RPMs. Thats a good thing. You should wikipedia v-tec to learn more. welcome to the forum.

B18c1 = vtec, 170hp, 115 lb-ft of torque, I believe.

I think the B18b1 has 140 hp and 125 lb-ft, but I'm not positive on that. Look up "Honda B-series" on Wikipedia, that's actually a pretty good article.

Wiki refers the B18c1 having 170hp & 127 lbs-ft. That doesn't sound right but the info they have on the b series is layed out good.
