Skunk2 Coilovers

Well I def want and am going to drop my car this summer...gah wheel gap. Anyhow does anyone here have the Skunk2 kit? I want to know what you think about them. I have 17 inch wheels with 205/40 tires.

I cant spend much more than that on coilovers...

Hows the ride? Stiff, bouncy...etc.

Also did you install them and was it hard...I am going to do it myself. I love doing my own work on my teg. Any pointers on installing coilovers or tools needed?

I want to buy them hopefully within the month.

if youre thinking of getting a coilover sleeve setup, get the ground control, not only are the spring rates (if you choose off the shelf rates, while you can ask for higher spring rates for no extra cost) more livable on a daily driver, but they are a better quality product, and the springs are made by eibach which are the biggest spring company in the country i believe

I have the exact same Skunk 2 coilovers on my Teg and I really enjoy them.... If your going to lower your car no matter what your ride quality WILL be compromised. Mine is stiffer but by now I'm used to it. Its not unbearable or anything... My friend also has the full Skunk2 coilovers and his feels stiffer or more unforgiving than mine. Skunk2 and Ground Control are both quality products so you won't go wrong with either... I paid $259 for mine but now I think its around $199. I'll see if I can find it for you..... Also, I did install them myself and its something you can do yourself...... I can give you the steps to do it if you want or you can find it on team-integra but I do it a little differently to make it easier for myself. It shouldn't take you more than 2 hours if you don't have any experience doing it before but it isn't complicated. I wouldn't recommened taking it to a shop to install it for you because if its like what happened to me they wanted to rip me off and charge $400..... Doing myself I know a price like that is just taking advantage of someone.

What size rims do you have? I see you have a camber kit, didnt know if my drop would need one or not. I have 17's with 205/40 tires. I am looking to drop it maybe 1.5 to maybe 2, enough to get rid of the wheel gap.

Should I get a camber kit no matter the drop?

I have 16's and the front is at least 2 inches and the rear is probably around and inch and a 1/2. And yes, you should get a camber kit...at least for the front b/c if you don't your tires will wear uneven. I don't have one on the back.... but I'm not worried about it and I haven't noticed any wear. But the front is definitely a must.

I have never put on Coilovers, so can the camber kit be put on easily afterwards. Meaning should I wait to put the coilovers on until I have the camber kit?
