My sister's 1990 Toyota Camry used to do the same thing. Her problem was the spark plug wires/distributor cap, so I replaced those, and voila, problem solved. If I was you, I would inspect your spark plug wires and distributor cap for cracks, and make sure that moisture can't get inside any of those things. If either one gets moisture inside of them, it's going to interrupt the flow of electricity from your ignition coil to your spark plugs, and your car won't start.

Good luck!

there are a number of places where water could create a short.

in my truck i constantly blew my EFI fuse when it was wet out. i traced the wire from the gas tank to the fuse box and found a big portion under the bed that had rotted (no EFI = no fuel) so i wrapped the wire up with some tape and the problem was solved.

if you have spark i would assume that fuel delivery is malfunctioning somehow.

water geting on/in something..look for seal leaks on the hood/body by soaking and wating it run, not that area then look for ne major compont parts or what is get wet....does you hood leak could be get to dis cap, plug wires or even a engine ground wire....same for starter as well....use the hose soak till wont start and look...prob just a ground wire on the older model...

missing a bolt on the distributor cap could cause water or moisture to leak in or collect and cause a no start.

Just get a new cap, they come with new bolts and you'll have a fresh one with a new gasket.

Ya the problem has got to be electrical somewhere man, its never a bad idea to tune up the ignition bits anyway, thats where I would start.
