thinking of fixing her up

well, back in august a women ran a redlight looking for her dog and hit my teg. heres a picture before the accident:



now im thinking about fixing her up rather that going out and spend about $12K on another one that i like that hasn't been tampered with. do you think it's fixable? how much would it cost? here's a few pictures. if you need me to post more i will. she's just sitting in the garage right now.





from inside the hood there was no engine damage. it's a 2000 LS with 98K on it. the window shield was crack because of the airbags. here's what i know i gotta replace:
-driver door
-driver/passenger airbags
-bumber
-hood
-left fender
-and of course my wheel is slightly inward but i know this is fixable cause my brothers accord was clipped just like me.

the accident was not a direct hit from her. whe hit a truck and the side of his truck hit me. If you have any clue on how much this will cost please post the amount. i would love to have her up and running next summer. Thanks fellas!!!

so you'll need a new tie rod, ball joints, the axle was probably compressed which means it's ruined. control arms, poly bushings. How are the shocks?

With insurance money you could easily fix it, especially if you know how to do your own painting that's something i learned and i'm very much glad i did.

if the bay is still in top shape i'd go for it. Basically as long as the frame is straight the doors and sunroof should still fit in snug. i'd just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

You should be able to a GS-R for under $12,000, I found 4 maybe 5 Type R for sale anywhere from $14,000 and up.
I might go take a look at it, but I'm saving for a other car.

depending w/o labor, if you can do your own work...

fender..200..primed not painted..

air bags d/p...prob like 400 a peice...

hood, carbon fiber..new 400

driver door, 500..

looks like you might be able to save the bumper...if not 250

total driver side steering a suspension components, 500

1 new rim 200

paint 1000$

you might be able to get door a hood and fender from a junkyard..prob need to be painted...same with alotta the other part for the suspension in the front, but i wouldnt get airbags from them...not reliable...

thats just a rough guestimate...nothing to precise on prices...i would salvage what you could and use this 4 grand an just get another ls

Rule of thumb, air bags deploy its never worth it. You'll never get it back to where she was at before the wreck so you're loosing money

If they total the car, you will get face value of the car, before the accident.

the insurance only claimed it totaled because the airbags when off. the guy who came over to estimate the damage said that the car is very fixable. It's just that they have on paper for the airbags to cost over $1000 a pop. so with that in mind plus body damage (which was just the front right side and door) it would cost about $8,000. i went to get an estimate from a body shop and they said nothing major at all. im buying all the parts myself so all they are doing is labor work. i got a high estimate of $2500 (if my radiator support was bent or broken which it is) and a low estimate of $1000 just to remove and replace the fender, bumper, hood and fix the driver side wheel area. so i figured this is cheaper than going out and looking for another 2000/2001 integra. plus i know forsure my integra wasn't tampered with because im the original owner.

reason number one - i got tired of looking at my poor car sit in the garage the way it is when i know i can do something about it.

reason number two - 75% of integras in my area look like crap. So i wanted to build mine back up to prove that integras aren't forgotten cars.
