Value of GS-R engine

My GS-R teg was stolen a few months back. Anyways, cops recovered my engine, so now I have an oppurtunity to get it back. It has about 140,000 miles on it and was in real good shape when it was stolen. How much should I be able to sell it for? any ideas? thanks.

I'd say $1,000 considering this fully built b18c1 is $700 with a bad wrist pin: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/517481990.html

You could probably do a little more than $1k if you wanted to, but I'd say anything over $1300 would be pushing it.

Now that's the ticket, ask high, and then make 'em feel like they're getting a deal. That's how I sold my Talon in the end.

The only other issue is that you can't vouch for the condition of the engine now. For all you know it could have horrible rod knock after the theives trashed on it.

So here's an update, and a new question. THe engine does not have headers or an intake. ALso, the transmission is not the original one, it was swapped with a 91 cable clutch tranny. SO...how much would you guys value just the block (again, well maintained, replaced timing belt/water pump, but prolly driven like shit the last few months)? thanks again dudes.
