Car 1: Acura MDX 08 |
I just bought an 08 MDX and have had it a total of 5 days in my possession because it's been in the shop. The first day I took it home it worked fine, the next day after setting up all of my radio settings, and address book settings, everything defaulted back to the original xm preview stations and my address book and home buttons were blacked out.
I took it to the dealer and they said they never heard of such a thing and could not recreate the issue. The nav this morning blacked out the address book and home button. I've tried both keys and it's still the same issue.. What could it be? ![]() |

Find a dealership that does a complete TQI job (Total Quality Inspection) before handing it to the owner. Most likely they fooked up somewhere.......these vehicles have much to before they can sell them......If you disconnect your battery you'll see what I mean........lots of electronics....

msladybug, if we start the car with my wife's keys, all our presets are gone and the xm is on preview. If I use my key, all are back, thus I believe that each user must set up their own presets, and the Nav system stores destinations, addresses, etc. on a user basis as well. I think this is a problem that should be looked at, but for now, watch who's key fob your using, as it only stores to the one being used.

I bought a 2008 MDX on February 29th. Since then, it has been in the shop 4 times in less than 3 months for the radio presents. On the 3rd visit, they replaced the radio for us, but we are still having trouble with the presets when switching drivers/keys. We are in contact with Acura Client Services and requested a new vehicle, but that has been declined. Yesterday, we filed a complaint with BBB Auto Line. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed that Acura has not done the right thing. We have not been given any timelines as to when Acura Engineering can fix this problem. We have 2 Acura’s now, but will not be buying any more in the future!!!!
