pet barrier

hi, the old MDX had a net barrier that would clip into place above the 2nd row seats. i don't see anything like this for the new MDX, and don't like the metal ones as the bars creak and they take up too much space.

any suggestions?

My Mood: Tired
There's not really any anchor points that I see in the 2nd gens, so I'm not sure what's out there. Which stinks because I have the pet barrier for my 2005 and I love it.

Trade you an '06 for your '07, and I'll buy you a pet barrier for it.

I'd like to know how well the net barrier works. I have two puppies (each about 50 pounds now, will be 65-70 pounds when full-grown) that want to be in the front seat. Would the net keep them in the back without coming down?

I am now looking for a barrier for our dog and just found out how much Acura has been cutting corners. It is a shame that they didn't keep the ability to protect our pets. Doesn't it seam logical that one reason to by an SUV is for putting a large dog in the back from time to time. My understanding is that the law is changing in Alberta to require that all pets are restrained in some fashion. With Acura cheeping out the restraint method is not going to be as good.

Aside from a pet, on long trips I would have preferred to have a net for the back so that I could protect my head from flying objects from behind. Can't do that either unless I pack very specific stacking.

Big failure on engineering in my thinking. Perhaps the accountants are starting to run things at Acura which means they will go the way of the old Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

Hey guys, new member here.......for those looking for a pet barrier I just received a catalog from weathertech looks pretty nice but I don't have any pets.......also for those interested, the WeatherTech window vents fit like a glove and work as advertised........and ya don't have to worry about the sticky tape coming apart as they fit up into the window channels........
ps- I can't post links but add a www and a dotcom at the end

Turned off by obvious advertisement...

I don't know about others but I am truly turned off by the obvious advertisement plugs made by individuals posing as forum posters. So much so that I have just added WeatherTech to my do not purchase from list.

Actually they were already there for what I considered false advertising on a past purchase so now they get my disposed list where I don't recommend them to anyone.
