Remove water spots from paint/windows
I recently purchased a used 05 MDX. I have washed and waxed it, but I can still see hard water spots on the paint and windows.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to remove these? |

Detailer's clay. Meguiars, Mothers, Claymagic are all available at most auto parts stores and even walmart. Safe for paint and works great on windows. The kits you get come with the clay and a bottle of quick detailer. Just spray on the QD and rub the clay over the wet surface. Removes any bonded contaminants on paint or glass and leaves a super smooth finish.

Toothpaste is GREAT for windows, but I would not recommend it for paint. The reason it works so well on glass is because it is a mild abrasive. Not something you want on your paint unless you enjoy swirl marks.

+1 for clay-bar-ing the spots away. I <3 clay bar.

Does the vinegar have any negative effect on the paint, or on the wax? I've washed mine a few times, and find the waterspots horrible behind the back window on the deck lid, even after doing the speed run to blow dry it on the highway...
...sounds like a trick worth trying though. ____________________________ See me at Autopartswarehouse |

The speed-run doesn't reach the water on the trunk. At least, not forwards. You may want to try reverse...
