97 tl exterior door handles

Hi haven't posted in here awhile, getting my 97 3.2 Tl back in shape. All the exterior door handles have been sprung, the latch of all the exterior door handles don't spring back in flush with door. I sthere any trick to fix them or do I have to go to the dealer and buy all new handles? Sorry for being so long winded but any help would be appreciated. ghia01

The spring mechanism is at the very top of the handle on the inside.

You can remove the handle by taking off the inner door panel, and checking the position of the spring. If it's in place and seems okay, shoot it up with some penetrating oil, along with anything in the related system that could cause binding, and work it back and forth.
