A/C/Heater Blower Problem
I have a 90 Legend L Coupe. The A/C/Heater Motor's been showing signs of age: Nothing happens when I select a fan speed for about 3 or 4 minutes; then it comes on. But the blower's output is weak at all selections compared to its previous performance. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, --Dave |

I'm thinking it's one of two issues:
1. Something is caught inside the fan itself (squirrel cage) preventing the motor from turning properly. We used to fish a lot of mice out of those back in the day, believe it or not...... 2. The motor is on its way out When you first kick the fan on, see if you can tap on the motor to get it to start up, or feel the back of the motor to see if it's getting warm (this is assuming you can gain somewhat easy access to it. The next step is to remove the blower motor to see if there is any debris caught up inside. For some reason, the first-generation Legends were prone to having things caught in the squirrel cage. Hope this helps! ![]()
