Driver Recognition System
Hi, question: sometimes when i open the door (using either key fob), the steering wheel doesn't extend fully to the preset position, and the Seat/Driver memory is not lit for either memory position. Pushing either Mem 1 or 2 will complete the sequence. this happens maybe 1 out of 5 or 10 times, but never when i'm at the dealership...... I haven't checked to see if the radio station presets are loading, but i've had static a couple of times when I get in (if i left it when listening to FM rather than XM).
the dealer has reset the computer (which seemed to do the trick for a few days), but it is back in for more testing today. they tell me there is no TSB, and they haven't seen this one...... i notice another posting elsewhere that somebody has a radio that is not restoring the presets when they get it. for the record, my radio head has already been replaced. i've followed all the proper sequences (went through it with the dealer to eliminate "user error") for locking and unlocking with the other key fob, but no such luck. it's not really a problem, just concerning that it happens and nobody seems to understand it...... suggestions? thanks. |

The only thing that I can think of, analysis wise, is to determine if there's any commonality to the occurrances......time of day, sunny or cloudy, ambient temp......may sound silly I know, but in order to try to narrow down the scope of the problem we need to take all factors into account.
