Car 1: 2001 Acura TL
Heated Seat Issue - wiring diagram needed

I have a 2001 TL, and my driver side seat heater (both elements) went out. I pulled the seat out and stripped the leather off - there was a small short in the back element (which I fixed), but the bottom element was burned through in multiple places (looks like it shorted on the crossbar connected to the three hog rings). Due to the extensive damage, I replaced the bottom element with a new Acura element, and reassembled everthing.

The back part works great now, but the bottom still does not work. I spoke with my "local" Acura service department (1 hour away), and they think it is probably a faulty wiring harness or plug.

Is there a wiring diagram for the driver's seat in a 2001 TL, specifically the heating element wiring? It would be very helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with my 99 tl. The driver heated seat only works for the lower back, not the bottom. I don't know where or how to get to the harness so I can try to unplug then replug it to see if that fixes the problem.

It's probably going to need a new heater element. That connector isn't in a spot of likely corrosion.
