radio preset channels are sometimes lost - Acura Forum

I have a 2007 MDX and have lost all my radio preset channels 5 or 6 times since I bought the car brand new last May. I have set my radio channels for driver #1 and #2 separately. When the channels are lost, the six preset channels on FM1 and FM2 are all lost. I notice this occurring after my wife has driven the car for a while (using her key fob) and then I drive the MDX using my key fob for entry.

Has this happened to anyone else's MDX and are you aware of any fixes? I brought the MDX to the dealer today and they said that their own technicans are aware of such problems, but do not know of a fix.

The only things that the Interactive System points to is a possible loose connection at the back of the radio, or a bad battery. Failing that, I'd say that the radio itself may need to be replaced.

I bought a 2008 MDX on February 29th. Since then, it has been in the shop 4 times in less than 3 months for the radio presets. On the 3rd visit, they replaced the radio for us, but we are still having trouble with the presets when switching drivers/keys. We are in contact with Acura Client Services and requested a new vehicle, but that has been declined. Yesterday, we filed a complaint with BBB Auto Line. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed that Acura has not done the right thing. We have not been given any timelines as to when Acura Engineering can fix this problem. We have 2 Acura’s now, but will not be buying any more in the future!!!!
