you it is accurate(to me).
the DTE does switch form city to highway.
thats what mines does.

when i filled up and drove to indiana it said my dte was around 400dte (i can't remember)
then when i got into the city it said i'll get about 220dte...which is true.

i have a heavy foot and with one of my o2 sensor's out it's surprising that i get this kinda gas milege.

basically when i work (which about 5-6 and sometimes 7 day a week) it's about 40 miles coming and going.

and i know this has been asked, i've searched but found nothing.
i've been using premium fuel...one being since the ecu adjusts the timing by using the o2 sensors and a few other things........

and well it's and acura so....

Thanks, but I do not make a claim like I did and have it called on a technicality without testing it out. So far by the tank I am getting 27.5 MPG on the interstate, with an extra 800+ lbs. in the car, and 22-23 MPG city. These are great tank numbers considering all the epa numbers you see advertised are just the average mpg at certain speeds or sitiations. This is much easier to get a high score on. If you want to test this get on the interstate and set your cruise, on a relatively flat interstate, once you are all set reset the MPG meeter. You will get high MPG numbers too, but you have to take the average before you change speed. This is the hard part since you need quite a few miles to do it.

As stated removing all the belts off the motor will greatly free up some HP and MPG.

All my numbers posted were on 87 octane gas, except the one tank of 93 for the track. That is notated.

Lee, I didn't remove the belts, I actually removed the system. The complete A/C system is gone! The power steering hasn't worked since I got the car! (Getting removed soon, hopefully Sat.)

The trip to the National Meet is included in that. If you see I bought like 5 tanks in 3 days, and went from GA-MS-TX-LA-AL. That was the National Meet trip. That was also when I had 800lbs. worth of stuff in my car.

Cool! I have to have a fully functional car, and fast. Not until I am using plexi windows and side nets will I remove the AC.

Since we are talking about fuel efficiency...that is not very.

When my car was overheating I did 380+Heat on high! That was fun, but if I felt heat I knew the system was working. We did this for about 1 hour then stopped to get some dinner, and wait for the sun to set. This was driving from New Orleans to Mobile. It was hot!
