Control arm bushings...

Hi,

My mechanic says that these are worn out (upper control arm and lower control arm on both the fronts) and need to be replaced.

Only the upper control arms have major play. One bushing in each is badly worn out. The lower arm bushings, i.e, the one which holds the lower end of the strut to the suspension show cracks but are intact. So, what are the implications of not replacing the bushings?

I suppose the reason for the bushings going out is my extensive highway driving on worn-out structs. So, is it worth replacing only the bushings or should i replace the struts too?

What should i expect to pay for: struts replacement(all 4) and for bushings replacement (control arm bushings)?

Since the struts have to come off to replace the bushings, it makes sense to replace them, too. It'll save you money in labor.
