HID on Legend? - Acura Forum

hey guys I was wondering does anyone has HID on there Legend? I was thinking of getting them for my dad 89 Legend, since he does alot of driving at night.

steveman09(I think that's the right username) has HID headlights on his '90 coupe.He's a member here and over at acura-legend.com.

Cool thanks, since my dad has the 89 4 door, they used the same size bulbs as the Integra so I'll try my hid kit on, his car and see how they look on the the legend.

Unless something has changed recently, it's illegal even to sell them in the US...

you guys are gonna do this in another country... right?

huh?! HID..illegal? sorry but they were never illegal. Just about every acura vehicle since the year 2000 came standard with HID lights. In fact your car has HID since 99.

jinny is right.. unless your specific car model came w/ a factory HID option, it is illegal to do a retro fit.

that said, I have PIAA HID driving lamps mounted in the lower kick out panels of the '89 sedan.

I've seen HID's installed on a Legend coupe... I am gonna say that I saw it on a car outside of the US

but they looked and worked great.

for those that of us that are conveniently not in the US when we install HID's, I suggest, that when you install them, that you pay extra attention to aiming... improperly aimed HID's are annoying as heck, down right dangerous, and draws unwanted attention to your car... somthing that you don't want if you should somehow find yourself driving your not-bought-in-the-US-HID-equiped-car on US roads.

I live in Cali, I have HID on my Integra I aim them low so,I don't blind anyone the 4300K are just white no blue tint in them.
