Idle Questions - Acura Forum

I have a '90 Legend LS Coupe. If the tach is accurate the car idles at 450 - 500 RPM. The specifications have idle speed at 780 RPM.

I have two questions. First, how accurate is the tachometer?
Second, As long as the idle is smooth should I even be concerned about a low idle?? I would think its is easier on gas in stop and go.

50 rpm too low or high at idle and you will get a blinking or solid yellow light on the ECU. If you don't then your tach is off.

GREYLEGEND Registered User Join Date: Apr 2005 Age: 50 Posts: 30	50 rpm too low or high at idle and you will get a blinking or solid yellow light on the ECU. If you don't then your tach is off.
