klack klack klack..front end noise
I just bought a 1988 legend ls with 250000 miles on it
(runs great) but I fear i may have to replace both front axles , when i am going into any kind of turn under power I hear "klack klack klack" as soon as I straighten out the noises stops. any help wouild be apreciatedS! p.s cv boots are not ripped or broken |

sounds like you need to replace the front axles. doesnt matter if the boots arent torn, the joint is most likely still worn. and with that type of mileage, they may have never been changed. My 89 with 256K on it didnt make noise until i put 15k miles on, then it started to click like what your describing. You can get lifetime waranty axles from advanced auto for under $100

Yeah....most likely the CV axles. If they're clacking like that they're too far gone to fix. Get rebuilt axles....make sure they're properly balanced or you'll get a wobble in the gas peddle when you accellerate !

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? balancing axles? wobble in gas pedal? The car needs outer CV joints , you can replace the entire axle, but if you have a G2 legend stay away from after market axles ,they can cause a vibration on acceleration( sometimes even at idle in gear). The same type of Vibration you see with worn inner CV joints.
