Need help, quickly. 90LS died !!!

90LS sedan. 258K kms. Was driving down the street...everything has been normal. Check engine light comes on. Engine stops. I coast to side of street. Try to re-start: nothing. Still have power ....all acessories et. work ...dash light come on with ignition on ...but nothing happens when I try to start engine. No click. Nothing. Checked all under-hood fuses ...all good.

I'm stuck 100 kms from home. Had motorclub tow car to shop to be checked in morning. Any ideas??? Only thing that's been a bit off lately is the ignition has been a bit sticky: have had to work the key and steering wheel a bit to get the key to turn on ..just once or twice in the past couple of weeks. My only guess is possibly the ignition switch.

PLEASE!! I need some input tonite!! Thanks

Wow!! This forum sure sucks lately!!! I got 15 replies on www.acura-legend.com ...and a big ZIP here!! Thought I'd post the outcome for the curious:

Well ...mystery solved (at least partly solved).

Problem was the 10A fuel pump fuse in the driver side kick panel!!! Go figure ...when this fuse is blown, it also disables the starting circuit!! I guess the Honda engineers figured it was no use wearing out the starter if there was no fuel getting to the engine!!

Shop found the problem after an HOUR of electrical troubleshooting. They had been focussing on the ignition issues that we all went to first. Fuse didn't look blown, until you looked at it REAL closely.

Anyway ...I'm relieved that it was nothing major (although it did cost me $85 in shop labour) ...but still a bit concerned that we don't know WHY the fuel pump fuse would blow.
