Talking New to board not Honda Products

Whats up guys? Im new here. I just picked up a G1 Legend Ls. Its been sitting in some old ladies garage for 9 months. Her husband was to cheap to have it looked at, so it sat. Anyways after a long 3 hr test drive, I concluded the car was mechanically sound. After finding this board and lurking, I figured the intermitant "no-start" on warm days was the Main Relay. On the way home I stopped at the Acura dealer and fixed it in the parking lot. No more starting issues.. The interior has some knarly cracks (from what I gather its common on Acura's) Body and paint are still nice. No oil leaks, or consumption, motor is super clean. Brakes and tires almost new, sun roof is tight and no leaks, but the timming belt was replaced about 100k ago, so I plan to do that this weekend. After owning a 94 Accord Wagon, I assumed all Honda products rode the same.. Wrong!!! I cant belive how well a 18yr old car with 217k can still handle and ride. Amazing!! Im sorry I wasted my money on a buick.. LOL . Anyway I found the search button, and plan to use it to learn more about this fantastic car. Peace..

BTW: Yes I only paid 800 bucks for this fine machine. Pictures comming as soon as GF gives cam back..

Congrats on the purchase!

I too just picked up my first Legend - an 87 coupe manual.

My car has the same problem you describe -- it sometimes doesn't start on warm days. Could the Main Relay be the problem? If so about how much would it cost to get it fixed by a mechanic?

Thanks!
