Poor AC Condensation draining - Acura Forum

I am replacing a blower motor that went bad in my 90' Legend L. I want to remove the condensation catch pan to clean out the excessive amount of debris such as leaves that keep clogging the drain hole. I have removed clips, screws, etc. but I can't remove the bottom half of the box that the drain line attaches to. Please advise me. TIA

I spoke with one of the mechanics at my local Acura Dealer and was told that there were two screws on the firewall side of this box holding the two half's of the box together, He said that there are near impossible to get to without removing the entire box from the car. This means breaking the freon lines loose and of couse much added expense. Can anybody confirm using their experience for me?
