I have a 90 acura legend automatic transmission. It has about 140000 miles and runs great except that when driving once it hits 20mph - 30mph the transmission slips and rpms go up then it kicks back in and runs properly.
I checked the transmission fluid and it isnt low. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this other than replace the tranny? |

Try cleaning out the shift solenoids as outlined here:
Cold Air Intake And change out the tranny fluid if it hasnt been done recently....and use Honda ATF

Car 1: Accura Legend Coupe |
I have an 87 Legend Coupe with over 250,000 miles on it runs fines, but in order to get a strong take off, you have to start in D1 until it reaches 15 miles per hour then shift up to D2 and then Drive, at which point the car drives fine.
I have no further use for the car, as I bought another one. Does any have an idea of what it would cost fix or rebuild, this transmission? Just want to be able to quote a cost to repair to the person that buys this car. |
