*take wheels off now
*spray bolts with pb blaster and let sit for 5-10min
*loosen brake line screw and other two bolts(you may need to turn steering to get at them)
* place bucket underneath and remove brake line screw, tie up with some wire to slow fluid drainage
* take out both bolts on caliper and tap caliper with rubber mallet to get off rotor

--do reverse with torgue specs but with type2 calipers

Where did you get those brake calipers? I have been trying to find a decent pair, but hate to buy a used set from a parts car.

Thanks

They will give back the core charge after you return your caliper to the remanufacturing place, get a return number, yada yada yada..it was so confusing i didn't bother. I know i should have but i am busy..as always.

how much would you say this all cost. i need to buy new rotors and pads for my legend. i was thinking of upgrading the calipers, but not sure if i want to go with the whole cross drilled slotted brembo brakes. can i use something less expensive?

All four rotors are typically $200-$400, depending on what you get. Get cross drilled if anything, slotted will tear up brake pads like nobodys business. You can get a pair of type 2 calipers from a parts yard for $40-$100, then whatever a rebuild kit costs.

Yes. Rotor thickness should be the only issue which doesn't really matter that much like in my case.

Is it possible to use the Type II calipers AND rotors up front on a Type I sedan with the stock 15 inchers? Since the calipers fit, I don't see why the rotors wouldn't, but just thought I'd ask?
