head gasket kit
can anyone give me a reliable gasket maker kit ?
after the expense and tedious labor I don't want a cheaply made kit to ruin the job. However I don't wan't to pay 500.00 dollars for a gasket kit if a 150.00 dollar kit is just as good. BTW the engine that I pulled had a bad head gasket, soooo I went to ebay and bought one from one of the many suppliers. To make a long story short the replacement engine ran perfect right up till it threw the rod. ![]() |

get the ebay kit to replace all the other gaskets/seals.
then get the OEM acura 3.5 headgaskets for the 96+ RL and then torque the heads in sequence to around 35lbs and then redo in sequence to the final torque of 63lbs. At 63lbs which is over spec the head gaskets will hold up better.
