Car 1: Honda Legend
Car 2: Rs2000
Help needed!!

Hi. I'm Carl from England. New to the forum and new to this car.
I am a mechanic so I can do the work but I can't find any data on the Acura/Honda Legend 3.2 V6
I had a RS2000 which was running 210BHP per tonne I had done alot of work to this car to get it to that stage but the car suffered with servere rot which made me break the car and buy a honda legend. What I need is info on anyone that has modified there Legend. Parts over here are hard to come by and I need to know what I can do to improve performance.
Has anyone turbo'd supercharged there legend?
What are the details on Bore and stroke???? Compression ratio????
The first thing I what to do is improve the BHP, then coil overs, then a bodykit.
As you lads aren't new to the seen on the legend as the legend hit of over there big time but didn't over here.
If anyone can help on anything it would be a help.
Cheers Carl

Hi Carl
I think part of the problem is the naming convention of Honda/Acura in the US and abroad. For instance an Acura (US) TSX is really a European Accord. US Acura Legends (2nd Generation) came with with 3.5 V6 engines.

The Acura 3.2TL had the 3.2 V6 engine. European and US engines can be quite different due to emissions regulations. Also we us SAE Net HP instead of Braking HP to determine much power output theengine has. Could you send some pictures, as it might help us in the colonies.

Cheers
OEM Bob

Actually, the 2nd generation Legend ('91-'95) came with the 3.2L V6 not the 3.5L. It was not until the 3rd generation that the Legend/RL ('96+) was equipped with the 3.5L V6.

Hi,
Well so far I have found alot of info on the legend.
Performance seems like a difficult one. The debate on headers, type 1 or 2?
Turbo and supercharger?? There is alot of debate about room under the bonnet and if it can be done.
I bought a legend 3.2 v6 2nd gen around 7 days ago.
There were a few problems like the engine check light wasn't working and this turned out to be the main relay. I resoldered the joints and it is working now.
A cv boot and ball joint for the MOT. I've bought a service kit and a cambelt for the car which I planned on doing this week.
I drove the car for 20 miles and the auto gearbox blew up. I suspect one of the syncro's has gone. So now I have to replace the gearbox!
My priority's have changed.. Get the car on the road!
Then I'll start from there.
cheers Carl
