Bizzaro problem:
Every once in a while (sometimes 3 times a week, sometimes once a month) I'll get in to start the car and I can't turn the ignition. I'm using the original key and it opens all the doors and *usually* starts the car just fine. But every once in a while, it gets stuck like this. I've tried unlocking the wheel, I've tried turning the wheel, I've tried parking with the tires at 1200 and just about every other angle... It always eventually resolves itself after I sit there and take the key in and out and try turning it for 5-15 minutes. After some *magical* number of attempts, it just turns over and starts right up! It aggravates me to no end and I never know when it's going to happen. Does anyone else have this problem?? I can't seem to identify any pattern that would explain why/when/how its doing this! ![]() Last edited by jezkah913 : 01-06-08 at 08:12 PM. |

Ignition switch is bad
I had the same issue with my Legend LS cpe. You can spray all the lubricants, but eventually it will give out. I jiggled the key for over 3 months and lucky for me it finally didn't turn while in my garage. Its your ignition switch. Do not get stuck out in the middle of nowhere and having to call a tow truck like I had to. I have a new one in my garage if you need it.
