Lifter Tick or What?

I have a 94LS Type II.
When I accelerate from around 1500Rpm to 2000Rpm I get what sounds like Lifter ticking from the top of the engine. Even if I'm above this range, and let off the throttle, when the rev's drop through that range again it rattles (whether moving or sitting in park). Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advanced for any help you can give!

What I would do is take a wooden yard stick and place it at various point on the engine. The sound will be transmitted on the wood and you can determine which lifter or sticky valve is causing the problem.

Its an old mechanic thing....but works!

Good Luck
