I need to replace my valve cover gasket on my 97 integra GS (not vtec) . Does anyone have any advice or step by step guides? I am especially confused about gasket covers that come with OR without grommets (what's the difference besides price?) -- and what kind of gasket sealant to use -- sealant, adhesive, dressing or gasket maker????
get the one with grommets, just unbolt it, if it doens't come off tap it with a rubber malet, take off the old one... and if any part sticket to the head use a knife to take it off.. .then just stick the new one on and tighten it down in a criss-cross formation....
Make sure and clean the rim of the valve cover and engine, but do not drop ANY of the dirt into the engine.
